My name is Elaine Hogan and I am an Irish musician living in Ennis, on the beautiful West coast of Ireland. I have played, studied and loved music all of my life and over the years have gained qualifications in piano, flute and violin. I am deeply rooted in the music of my home-place and am hugely fortunate to be able to perform and create music on a regular basis in both a solo capacity and as part of various ensembles.

Music and performance have always been the driving influences in my life. I worked for over 12 years as the principal harpist with the world famous Bunratty Castle entertainers, where I gained valuable experience in accompanying singers and performing as a soloist. It was also during this time that I gained my Masters degree in performance from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick. Whilst studying I was asked by the faculty to help and ended up working there for a number of years as a weekly harp tutor for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Nowadays I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love on a fulltime basis and see it as a huge privilege when I am asked to be a part of what is the most important day of a couples’ life together. I have almost 20 years experience of playing for weddings and I love exploring different musical tastes with the couples I work with. I know how important music is in my own life; my goal is to make the soundtrack to your special day as memorable and unique to you as I possibly can.
